ABOUT

This is about me, but my work is all about you.

I spend my days helping business owners and nonprofit leaders in- crease visibility and connect with stakeholders. It’s fun, and I be- lieve it’s important work, because it helps others do their (really) important work better.

Prior to founding In Better Words in 2012, I served as the Director of Communications for the Business Council of Westchester for 6.5 years, where I was responsible for marketing the organization and managing communications with its 1,000+ members; working with small groups of business owners and human resources profes- sionals to develop best practices; and planning and executing events.

It was at the Business Council I learned so much about what small businesses and nonprofits needs, and I’m fortunate to have so many positive business relationships and friendships from my time there.

In addition to my work with clients, I like to speak to groups of pro- fessionals, through chambers and trade organizations, about mar- keting and messaging. For seven years, I was an adjunct instructor at the College of Westchester in White Plains, where I taught busi- ness, marketing, professional communications, event planning and other courses.
